Description B. alternifolia ‘Argentea’  x B. crispa  | Butterfly Bush ‘Longstock Silver’ ‘Longstock Silver’ Butterfly Bush, made in 2000 by Peter Moore, is a hardy, deciduous small to medium-sized shrub. The leaves are soft and felted, like B. crispa or B. agathosma, and the flowers are lilac with a pale eye (also like B. crispa) in cylindrical panicles from mid-summer into October. Aromatic flowers. Grows best in full sun in sharply drained, sandy or gravely soils. Does not like overly wet conditions.
