Beautiful example of a dark green colored Art Deco Matte jug, produced in 1922. The Middle Eastern inspired Rhodian decors were developed in the 1910s and went on to become a world-wide bestseller. Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland became the biggest pottery in Gouda and made more decorative pieces than any other Dutch producer. The signature on the bottom showcases the artist, year and factory marks.
