Description Petersen Hi-MOD ‘HRD’ high resistance dee shackles are manufactured in the UK from a special grade of stainless steel. High resistance shackles have approximately twice the breaking load of a regular stainless shackle. Ideally paired with modern high-strength ropes such as with a Dyneema genoa halyard. These shackles are featured on many modern high-performance racing blocks such as those made by Lewmar, Schaefer, Frederiksen and Ronstan.
